In August of this year my mum of 84 years old who is well known down the high st for her happy smile and politeness was scammed by a drainage company called Preston Leyland Drainage!! Please be aware if anyone thinks about using this company. They also have numerous other names. My mum was conned out of £3400 for works that wasn’t carried out. After some ringing around a very generous big company decided to help and after the survey was carried out they explained that clearly no work was carried out. So after 2 months of investigations by HMRC trading standards and another company I was called yesterday morning by HMRC to clarify they had all the evidence now to continue the case. My brother called a Michael Latham who is one of the owners. He tried to deny all knowledge until my brother told him he was captured on the ring door bell. He tried to blame a staff member to no surprise. Also a Thomas Jones who seems to be the main guy just wants to abuse people for asking for photo evidence of the work carried out. Other names this company goes by. Expert drainage Preston Leyland Drainage Fylde blockages Southport blocked drains Locks and drains Fy fylde locksmiths Quick response 24/7 ltd Rapid response services Wigan drainage Lancaster drainage Drainage experts nw and lots of other names. They have a dissolved company that all these companies have been trading under. It’s very clear after 2 months of checking this business out my mum isn’t the only poor pensioner they have conned.
