Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by Drainage Experts (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the customer (“you”). By booking a service with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Services

We provide drainage services, including but not limited to: emergency unblocking, CCTV surveys, drain repairs, and maintenance. We will perform the services with reasonable care and skill.

2. Bookings and Estimations

  • All bookings made via phone (07739 961430) or our website are subject to engineer availability.

  • Any price provided over the phone is an estimate based on the information provided by you. If the situation on-site is different from described (e.g., collapsed pipes rather than a simple blockage), we reserve the right to provide a revised quote before commencing work.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • Fixed Price Policy: Where a “Fixed Price” is agreed, this covers the unblocking of a single domestic drain. It does not cover structural repairs or specialized machinery if required.

  • No Call-Out Fee: We do not charge a fee just for arriving; however, once diagnostic work or clearing begins, our standard rates apply.

  • Payment Terms: Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work. We accept cash, card, or bank transfer unless a commercial account has been pre-approved.

  • Late Payment: We reserve the right to charge interest on any overdue accounts at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate.

4. Cancellations

  • If you wish to cancel an emergency call-out, you must do so at least 60 minutes before the agreed arrival time.

  • If our engineer is already on-site or in transit and you cancel, we reserve the right to charge a “Minimum Call-Out Charge” to cover fuel and time.

5. Access and Domestic Safety

  • It is your responsibility to provide clear access to manholes, inspection chambers, and internal pipework.

  • You must inform our engineer of any known hazards on the property (e.g., chemical cleaners used in the pipes previously).

  • We are not liable for any minor damage to turf, flowerbeds, or driveways necessarily caused by accessing drainage points, though we will always aim to minimize disruption.

6. Guarantees and Liability

  • Unblocking: We guarantee that the drain is clear at the time our engineer leaves the site. We cannot guarantee that a drain will not block again if the cause is structural (e.g., root ingress, collapsed pipe) or if prohibited items (e.g., wet wipes, grease) are disposed of after our visit.

  • Repairs: Structural repairs and relining work are covered by a [12-month] workmanship guarantee.

  • Liability: Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the price of the services provided. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.

7. Complaints

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
